1. Payment terms: 50% deposit payable on order, goods despatched on receipt of cleared balance. If ordering from stock the full payment is due at the time of your order, which will be despatched within two working days of cleared payment. You may pay by cash, cheque (please allow 7 working days for bank clearance) or credit/debit card (over the telephone or in person) or Paypal.
2. Delivery: for commissions, we normally fulfil your order within 28 days, sometimes much faster! Occasionally due to unforeseen circumstances this may not be possible and you will be kept informed if this happens.
3. Postage and packaging to UK addresses will be charged at £6 per order (one or several bags), all bags are sent by Special Delivery, ensuring prompt arrival and adequate insurance. Shipping to non-UK addresses will be charged at cost and sent by International Recorded Delivery. No responsibility can be accepted by Smart Tart for loss of returned goods not sent back by Special Delivery or International Recorded Delivery.
4. Goods given as a gift may be exchanged for something of the same value if they are returned in unused condition within seven days.
5. Refunds can only be given on goods that are faulty and returned to us in unused condition within seven days. Please let us know within 24 hours of receipt that you are going to do this.
6. Every effort is always made to ensure that your order is what you expect, however the nature of vintage fabrics means that variations will sometimes occur. If these are more than slight, we will contact you before continuing.
7. If a genuine mistake has been made by us in interpreting your order we will make it again or offer you a refund. We do however always take extreme care to ensure your wishes are carried out! We cannot be held responsible if we have correctly carried out your wishes and the result is not to your taste, although we will always endeavour to put this right for you.
8. Refurbishment : if your bag suffers an unexpected calamity, please contact us and we will do our best to restore it to its former glory! Failure to follow washing instructions is not covered by this however, so please read your care labels.
